A colorful variety of summer clothes is combined with bright and elegant models of summer shoes – elegant sandals, soft moccasins and ballet flats, functional slippers. However, in order to always look at your best, you should take care of summer shoes, because in most cases they are open and can accumulate dust and wear out faster than shoes for other seasons. Proper care of summer shoes can be provided by a shoe shine machine, or you can clean them yourself.
Summer shoes made of genuine leather require special attention. In order for your shoes to please you as long as possible and remain brand new and beautiful, clean them of dust and dirt in the evening and apply a little cream of the appropriate color. In the morning, it remains only to lightly polish the shoes with a soft cloth. Shoes made of high-quality genuine leather are enough to be cleaned daily from dust with a dry cloth. It is advisable not to wash such shoes with water, as the product may lose its qualities.
For summer shoe care, choose a cream that does not contain wax. Wax cream attracts dust like a magnet. It is not even necessary to use a sponge for shoes, it is enough to use a special napkin for wiping shoes or a simple cloth.
Summer shoes made of woven materials are usually cleaned with soapy water and then dried. It does not require special knowledge and skills, and the result is obvious – clean shoes without stains.
Suede shoes require no less attention, shoe shine machines can help here, but manual cleaning will still be more effective. To care for suede shoes, there are special brushes with which dirt and scuffs are easily removed. Daily care consists of dust removal. Wet suede shoes should be dried before cleaning and only then cleaned. Particularly strong pollution is removed with the help of special foams. Apply the foam to the stain and gently wipe with a soft cloth, then be sure to dry.
In the absence of special shoe products, you can use the old-fashioned method of cleaning – using a soap and ammonia solution. Make an emulsion out of laundry soap and a small amount of ammonia and clean the dirt with a soft cloth dipped in this solution. Remove the remaining solution with a damp cloth and dry the shoes.
