It has a wide use in construction. If the foam is of high quality, then it shrinks slightly and well isolates the room from external influences. It also hardens quickly and can stick to building materials and not only to them. After the foam has hardened, it becomes elastic, waterproof and resistant to any mechanical stress. But it can be destroyed by ultraviolet rays.
But what is the right way to remove it??
In order to remove the foam, you will need some tools, such as: a razor blade (you can take a scraper or a knife), a metal brush, some kind of cleaning agent for the desired surface, a protective face mask and gloves on your hands, dry wipes.
How to remove fresh foam.
Fresh foam can be easily removed with a knife. Take a knife and pry it very gently. If there is a small spot left, then you can remove it with a razor blade. But the stain is not always completely removed, so you will need a solvent, you just need to use a special solvent. If you do not have a solvent, then take salt and make a warm saline solution in which you dip the contaminated area. If the contamination remains, then use a pumice stone or a hard washcloth.
Solvent Removal.
This method is often used by plastic window installers, but it is only suitable for removing foam from the skin. Take heated vegetable oil or a foam cleaner (usually sold in aerosols) and lubricate the stained area. Then wash your hands thoroughly and lubricate them with a moisturizer. Repeat this procedure if necessary.
Removing mounting foam from clothes.
Dried foam is very difficult to remove, since not everything can be applied with special preparations. Therefore, you can remove foam from clothes with a drug called “Dimexide”. Take and pour it on the contaminated area. After a short period of time, the foam will become softened and you can remove it with a knife. Then pour some more dimexide and then remove the foam with a thin plate. Be sure to remove the stain with gloves.
And best of all, when buying mounting foam, immediately buy a product to remove it from the skin or surface. These are usually solvents or aerosols. Such funds are sold at points of sale of foam and other building materials.
