The Moscow government is implementing a colossal road and transport program. We will see its results in the very near future
The construction and reconstruction of road infrastructure is provided for by the Master Plan for the Development of Moscow until 2025. According to the mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov, the development of a metropolis is not only about ensuring the growth of citizens’ incomes and the construction of social housing, but also the construction of new roads. “The solution of transport problems is the most important and paramount task,” the mayor said. Decree of the Government of Moscow No. 390-PP defines the list of road and bridge construction projects for 2007. According to him, the estimate of road construction is 67 billion rubles.

As a result, the new highway will directly connect the Moscow Ring Road and the city center. It will take approximately 12 minutes to drive from end to end along this almost traffic-free section. “Zvenigorodsky Prospekt will significantly unload Kutuzovsky and Leningradsky Prospects, as well as Khoroshevskoye Highway,” said the chief engineer of the State Unitary Enterprise “NIiPI of the General Plan of the city of. Moscow” Yuri Korotkov. In addition to the construction of the Zvenigorod highway, plans for 2007 include the creation of several more new routes…
